The Environmental Health Network and Health Council of Marin present:

Healthy Homes: A Better Standard for Green Living and Healthy Design?

Creating living environments that are healthy as well as sustainable is an important modern challenge. From infertility, to asthma, hyperactivity to allergies and sensitivities, and many chronic illnesses, indoor toxicants – including the growing presence of RF radiation from multiple wireless sources – are increasingly having a huge impact on how we live and function. Modern green building techniques have provided some answers – but are they enough? Can – and should – we be doing better?

Join us for a panel presentation that explores the newly developed Bau Biologie third party certification Healthy Building Standard, a new health-focused standard for sustainable building design, testing, and certification.  Learn about a fascinating pilot project that is producing modular, affordable, factory built homes and components that meet this standard.

Speakers:
Connie Barker, Environmental Health Network
Lyne Hethrington, Environmental Scientist, co-founder of Kohana Pharmacy and Center for Regenerative Medicine
Larry Gust, Building Biologist certified by the International Institute for Bau-Biologie & Ecology
Michael Francis, Architect of the Sanctuary
Douglas Busch, Designer and Founder of pH Living
